CARM - Christian Apologetics Research & Ministry

As Christians, we sometimes get attacked for our beliefs by members of other faiths, people of no faith at all, and often by our own brethren (shame!). You can end up looking quite foolish and ignorant during one of these debates if you don't really know your stuff. Best place to go to 'learn your stuff?' The Bible of course. Maybe the second best place, that will compartmentalize things down to the issue for you, and get you going in the right direction? That'd be CARM.

CARM isn't for everyone; this site is intended for Christians to defend themselves against various theological attacks. On top of that, it's geared much more towards Protestants than Catholics. Finally, and probably most controversially to many of my readers, the material leans to the more conservative sects of Christianity.

Christian Apologetics & Research Ministry offers such a wealth of knowledge, I really cannot begin to cover it all here. Just a taster; if you want to know why Christians say something is sinful, it's there, with Biblical passages to back it up. If you're curious about the differences between different denominations, it's there. Curious how to respond and interact with people of completely separate faiths (Islam, Wicca, ect)? CARM can help. There are even sections on scientific and archaeological evidence in support of the Bible, where you'll constantly be told there is none.

The site can, and should be used by Christians to arm themselves with knowledge in the event they're placed in a 'hostile' situation, and are forced to defend their faith rather than share it. The site may also be used to arm yourself with knowledge, and go out on the 'attack' against individuals that believe differently than you. Please, don't. I don't want that, CARM doesn't want that, and I'm quite sure God wouldn't be to fond of the idea either. Use the information responsibly.

Remain SUSPECT while on this site! I remain skeptical after poking around through the clutter.

Agreed, always keep your guard up when it comes to religious advice; one of the reasons I stated that it wasn't a site for everyone.

As for the clutter, it used to not be that way. I suppose the operator is trying to monetize. But, all the information is there as has always been.
